The Ultimate Blog Party 2012

Welcome!  I am so honored that you chose to stop by my blog today.  If you have been here before, this may help give you some new insight as to what kind of blog you are really reading.  If you are new, I hope that I help you to make an informed decision on whether or not you would really like to follow my blog.  Even if you choose not to follow, please leave a comment and say hello!

First off, I would love to thank the ladies at 5 Minutes For Moms for this great opportunity!  What a wonderful idea, a blog party for those of us in the blogosphere.  A simply lovely way to meet new people and possible friends (and maybe even a kindred spirit or two).

Ultimate Blog Party 2012

This blog is fairly new only being around a couple of months.  The topics are rather eclectic as I enjoy life in a variety of ways.  Some weeks I have much to say and others I am too busy to write all that I would love to share.  You will not see many giveaways or product reviews, this is not something that interests me a great deal.  I prefer lovely quotes, ramblings and sharing different interesting finds.  This blog is about sharing the moment; enjoying life as it happens.  Once in awhile you may even catch me writing about days gone by with reverent nostalgia.  Here are a few of my favorite posts to give you an idea of what to expect:

As a romantic at heart I cannot help but love beauty.  I find it everywhere in nature, in a treasured book, in a hand written letter, and most of all in a kindred spirit.  Beauty is what makes life worth living inside and out.  The carefully planned garden, the exquisite home, the carefully set table...all of these things give me a thrill!

My family comes first before this blog.  I am a happy housewife, married to an incredible man and I adore being able to take care of my husband, home and family.  We have two sons whom I home educate; they are growing up way too fast!  I do not blog about my family much as they prefer being anonymous and pictures of them are forbidden.  I honor their decisions, I hope you will not mind.

As a family we take care of our adopted girls, a cat and a dog.  For family time we love the theater, music, eating healthy (vegan-no animal products), board games, card games, literature and the glamour of Old Hollywood (emphasis on musicals).  We all love that our home is our peaceful haven away from the sometimes harsh and brutal realities of life.  As a family we take our day of rest, Shabbat, seriously.  This blog is closed on the seventh day of the week, starting Friday evening and ending Saturday night.  If you are interested, please read my post describing our day of rest: Shabbat.

On my sidebar I have a list of links which may interest you.  If you would like to know more about me and this blog before making the decision to follow please read everything you would like, I too do not take on more blog reading before really knowing what I am getting into.  I hope that you are a kindred spirit and that you will stay awhile, but I do understand if you need to move on to other blogs.  Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a few minutes of your time, I appreciate that so much!

Enjoy the party!
